Q: How can I transfer my version 1.07 SKA models over to the 1.50 SKA system?

A: You will notice that you can not open version 1.07 SKA files with the version 1.50 SKA Studio. Since the only difference between a 1.07 SKA model and a 1.50 SKA model is the intorduction of a .bmc file, therefore you can recover your files and your collosion boxes, animations and textures if you follow these steps to get it working:

  * Enshure that SKA Studio is closed.
  * Backing up all of your files into another folder (eg 'copy of Zorg').
  * Start up SKA Studio.
  * Create a new smc file using the same name as your 1.07 file (eg 'Zorg.smc').
  * Using the tree menu on the left side of the screen delete the mesh list, the collisions, the skeliton list and the animation lists.
  * Now you should have the tree menu empty except for the main folder.
  * Save the smc file.
  * replace the mesh list, skeliton list and animation list with the back-ups of the files.
  * Add in the three lists into the tree menu.
  * Save your smc file, and exit SKA Studio.
  * Replace the newly made smc file with the back-up of the old smc file.
  * Start up SKA Studio again, load the smc file.
  * Now save your file to enshire that the .bmc file is created and updated. Enjoy.

Q: Why do my animations disapear when the model is more than 10m away from the camera?

A: This is caused due to the fact that SKA Studio supports Lod on more than one level, there is not only mesh Lod, but also there is Skeleton Lod, as such you can have more than one skeleton which mip away as the model gets further away from the camera.

  * To solve just edit the Lod distance for the skeleton as you would with a normal mesh in SKA Studio
  * This also happens with meshes (they will disappear) simply set the LOD Factor on your active mesh to something higher)

Q: I can see my model but it disappears from different positions and angles!

A: The reason you are getting this problem is because the All Frames Bounding box is too small. If the engine does not see this box it will not render the model. So, you must make it cover every vertex and polygon your model has. You can do this by clicking the All Frames BBox item in your tree, and click recalculate. This will fit the box to your model.
